“It was amazing to be part of the Christmas Day lunch helping to give vulnerable people a good time on what they tell us can be one of the loneliest days of the year. The atmosphere was great, and it was a privilege to act as a table host assisting our guests as needed.”

“I cannot thank you enough for an occasion which makes such a difference to those of us who are on our own at Christmas.”

Older people are a growing part of our population, with many sadly living in isolation. Our grant supported the St Andrew & St Mark's Church in Surbiton, hosting a Christmas lunch that brought together 55 people. Guests were invited through outreach efforts with Alfriston Day Centre and Tolworth Mental Health Services.
