Apply for a Grant

Our grants application process is simple, created to support local organisations who alleviate hardship at the heart of our communities.

We fund projects that charitable organisations run, and the individual services users and families they directly support.

Our Rolling Grants Programme

Our £750 grants support both small organisations and larger local organisations, who would like to apply on behalf of individuals and families that use their services. You can receive up to three grants per year (each grant requires a separate application).

Announcing your grant

We’ve created two images for you to use when announcing your grant - one to be posted on social media, and our logo - to be placed on your website:

Don’t forget to also tag us in your social posts, so we can celebrate with you! Here are our social handles:

  • We currently have a rolling programme of grant-making. Grant applications are considered at the end of each month.

  • An average of three grants of £750 are available each month. Our funding goes through a rigorous process, so that we can make sure we are funding the organisations and projects which will have the greatest impact on local people’s lives.

  • ll applications must be made using the Kingston Charitable Foundation Grants Application Form.

  • We make grants to a wide range of organisations. We are also keen to support individuals/families facing hardship in our community; grant applications for individuals/families must come from charities or charitable organisations that already support them. Kingston Charitable Foundation will not accept applications from individuals/families.

Your organisation does not have to be a registered charity to apply, but the work you ask us to support must be legally charitable and support residents of the Borough of Kingston upon Thames and you must be able to provide an organisational bank account to receive payment of any awarded grant.

If your charitable organisation has an annual income of under £250,000, you can either apply for a grant that would support a project that you are running or would directly support an individual/family facing hardship.

If your charitable organisation has an annual income of over £250,000 you can only apply for a grant to directly support an individual/family facing hardship.

Our friendly team is here to help. If you have questions about our grants programme, you can contact Justine Belcher (our Community Lead and Grants Manager) via email: justine@kingstoncf.org.uk.

Feeding back on your grant

Once funded, please tell us more about your project and how it is going. We work with the organisations we fund, to monitor and evaluate delivery throughout the duration of the grant. This helps to ensure you achieve what you set out to do and helps us provide evidence of impact when working to secure new funds.

We want to tell the stories of those you support.

By providing images/videos of people benefiting from the grant (with permission for use), alongside testimonials and case studies, we can shout about your success, and bring more attention to your cause - on our website, in our newsletter, on social media and in our impact report.

By emailing Justine your photos and service user quotes, we can create visuals such as these…
