to 29 Feb

Step Challenge

We’re challenging you to walk 150,000 steps or move for 1,740 minutes in February. Fancy aiming higher? Let’s see how much you can move. Whether going solo or teaming up with friends and family, work on your wellbeing, health and fitness in time for March.

Email the Mayor’s office to sign up and receive your challenge pack - mayors.office@kingston.gov.uk

The rules

  • You can gain your steps or movement minutes by walking, running or other activities (our challenge pack provides plenty of ideas!)

  • Track your activity by counting minutes (at an average walking pace, you’ll cover 6,000 steps in 60 minutes).

  • You could also track your steps via an app (like Strava), Fitbit, phone, or pedometer (there’s a daily Activity Tracker in our challenge pack).

  • Join alone or as a team (find your Leaderboard Tracker in the pack - for a little friendly competition among team members!).

  • Fundraise for The Mayor’s Charitable Trust - to support local people in need.
